Welcome to the site of The Immigration Professor/ Immigration Attorney, Robert Perkins. Since 1989, our immigration attorney Robert Perkins has successfully represented thousands of individuals and companies from all over the world in their immigration cases. Originally starting practice in Chicago, it has expanded to where he represents immigration clients all across the United States. Mr. Perkins subsequently moved to Los Angeles, but still visits Chicago frequently as well as New Jersey. Due to advances in technology, he is able to represent clients via phone, Skype, FaceTime, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and more all across the United States and worldwide. Attorney Perkins is dedicated to empowering clients with knowledge about their immigration situation to lessen their stress about the process. He represents cases from obtaining a green card to obtaining U.S. citizenship to asylum.
Our Immigration Attorney Robert Perkins graduated Magna Cum Laude from Beloit College in 1986 and received his J.D., Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1989. He then started practicing law at the prestigious international firm of Denton's (at the time called Sonnenschein Nath and Rosenthal). In 1994, he established his own law firm, focusing exclusively on immigration law, which involves visas, green cards, U.S. citizenship, and anything else immigration-related.
Mr. Perkins has represented hundreds of clients in deportation defense cases including asylum, cancellation of removal, criminal waivers, and more. He also has represented a variety of tech and other firms in business immigration matters including H-1B, H-2B, E-2, R-1, O-1, PERM, EB-1, and more.
Mr. Perkins has filed many family-based petitions for clients as well as U visas and VAWA petitions. His particular passion is litigating cases against USCIS and ICE across the United States for unlawful detention, abuse, civil rights violations, and more.
Lauren Gabbaian graduated from Loyola Law School and has been practicing law since 2013. Ms. Gabbaian has focused her practice solely on immigration law since 2016. Ms. Gabbaian has experience in a wide variety of immigration cases including family-based immigration, adjustment of status, naturalization, removal of conditions (I-751), H-1Bs, Labor Certifications, I-140s complex removal/deportation cases, unlawful presence waivers and more.
Ms. Gabbaian is the immediate past President of Barristers Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association (“BHBA”). She has also served as the Communications and New Media Chair of the Barristers and Entertainment Sections of the BHBA, where she has arranged seminars including for entertainment lawyers on the intersection of immigration and entertainment law. She has also been active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”) and has lectured at AILA round tables on Law and Technology issues. She was also a winner of the 2022 “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” Immigration knowledge contest MC’d by eminent immigration attorney Ira Kurzban and a panel of other AILA attorneys.
While Ms. Gabbaian presently is focusing solely on immigration law, in the past she has done a variety of sophisticated legal work in the areas of employment litigation and entertainment law.
In addition to her legal experience Ms. Gabbaian has won 19 radio contests and has a passion for tabletop strategy games like Settlers of Catan. And did we mention she also speaks Farsi?
